Christian Family Living – Musical Training Terms and Conditions

By completing the online enrolment form for Christian Family Living musical training, you are agreeing to the below Terms and Conditions.

Dear Student / Parent / Guardian

This document serves as an agreement between Christian Family Living and you the

Student / parent (of the student) / guardian (of the student) who participates in musical training at Christian Family Living.

Christian Family Living provides musical training for the purposes of worship ministry, on drums, guitar, keyboard/piano, and vocals/singing.

Where training takes place

All training sessions take place at the Christian Family Living Studio at 55 De Waal Street, Modelpark, eMalahleni (Witbank).

The “Option 2” training package is available online for students who do not live in Emalahleni.

Training Structure and Method

Extensive 1 on 1 musical training on which ever instrument/s (guitar, drums, keyboard, singing) the student plays; and wishes to utilize for worship ministry purposes.

Students who choose our Family Package will be accommodated by scheduling two family members in the same weekly time slot.

Sessions include theoretical, practical and technical training both on the instruments themselves, as well as in the context of a band, for the purposes of covering songs; composing & song writing; collaborating; performing / worship leading; and recording.

Amount & Duration of Sessions: Option 1

A total of 37 one-hour training sessions are given annually. These 37 sessions are spread out over a 12-month period, taking place once a week, as per the student’s allocated weekly time slot. The number of annual sessions is calculated according to the School Calendar; and therefore, exclude school and public holidays, when training sessions do not take place. On exception though, sessions may be scheduled during school holidays, if mutually agreed upon between Christian Family Living and the student/parent. Double sessions may also, when mutually agreed upon, be scheduled from time to time, in the case of a weekly session having been missed.

Amount & Duration of Sessions: Option 2

Four one-hour worship music training sessions scheduled based on the availability of both the student and the teacher.

Missed Sessions

If a student is unable to participate in a session, Christian Family Living must be notified by the student / parent. It is the student / parent’s responsibility to request a catch-up session; only then will Christian Family Living provide available catch-up time slots. No more than 4 accumulated catch-up sessions are permitted for the relevant student / parent. Therefore, every session that the student misses over and above an accumulated amount of 4, will be forfeited.

If a session is to be missed on the part of Christian Family Living, it is CFL’s responsibility to notify the student / parent; and to arrange a catch-up session.

Student Criteria

Christian Family Living strictly only trains music students who have a specific goal in utilizing their training received, for worship ministry purposes. To ascertain whether the student truly has this specific intentionality; as well as sufficient baseline natural ability, an audition and interview will be held to determine whether the potential student will be accepted for enrolment. Furthermore, CFL has a strict practice policy, by which the student is required to put in extensive practise at home, to realistically be able to achieve their goals. If a student doesn’t bring their part consistently in this regard; and there is evidence that minimal practise is taking place, then CFL may give the student notice of termination of training.

Fees: Option 1

There is a once-off R450 sign-up fee for all students, due upon enrolment.

Standard training fees are R1550 per student, per month (due all 12 months of the year).

Family Package training fees are R1200 per student, per month (due all 12 months of the year).

Monthly fees are to be paid upfront by no later than the 3rd of each month, including December and January. These fees are monthly fees and are not amended if the student misses some or all the sessions in a particular month.

10% discount is given to students who make upfront annual (12 months/37 lessons) payments = R16 740 once-off. No enrolment fee is charge for this payment option.
