Who we are

We believe the Church is more than a place you attend – it’s a family you belong to.

Christian Family Living Church is a community of ordinary people who love and follow Jesus Christ. Based in Witbank, eMalahleni, we are passionate about building a church where people from every background can encounter God, grow in their faith, and find their place in His family.

Modelled after the early church in Acts 2:42–47, we desire to live out authentic biblical Christianity. Together, we are devoted to God’s Word, prayer, fellowship, and sharing life with one another as we love God, serve others, and make Jesus known in our city and beyond.

We know we’re not perfect, but we are committed to growing together as disciples of Jesus and becoming the kind of church that reflects His heart to the world.

What we believe

Our statement of faith as Christian Family Living Church.

The Trinity2026-07-06T11:24:37+00:00

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

The Father2026-07-06T11:25:55+00:00

We believe that God the Father is a transcendent spiritual being who is omnipotent; omniscient; holy; righteous; just; loving; gracious; merciful; and infinitely good. We believe He has life in and of Himself; and having created all things, He gives life to all things.

The Son2026-07-06T11:32:42+00:00

We believe that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, Father God’s only begotten son.

We believe in the literal, physical bodily death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus; in His literal ascension into heaven; in His present heavenly ministry as our High Priest and Intercessor; and in His literal, physical, and imminent return.

The Holy Spirit2026-07-06T11:34:10+00:00

We believe in the supernatural in-filling and manifestation of the Holy Spirit in and through the life of the believer. He empowers and equips us for service and ministry, as He leads us in all truth; produces in us His fruits; and gives us His gifts. We also believe in His definite, yet progressive work of sanctification of the believer, commencing at the time of their new birth, and continuing until the consummation of Salvation, when all believers past and present will be glorified with Jesus.

Man, Sin and Salvation2026-07-06T11:35:50+00:00

We believe that God created man in His own image; that man sinned and thereby incurred the penalty of death, physical and spiritual; that all human beings intern inherit a sinful nature, which issues in actual transgression involving personal guilt.

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins as a perfect substitutionary sacrifice; and that all who believe, repent of their sin, and surrender to Him are justified on the grounds of His innocent blood which was shed.

We believe that all who repent of their sin, receive Jesus Christ by faith as Saviour, and confess Him as Lord, are born again of the Holy Spirit and thereby become children of God.

We believe in the future resurrection of both the just and the unjust, when God’s children will receive eternal life; and those who rejected Jesus and his atoning work for them, will be eternally banished to hell.

The Scriptures2026-07-06T11:37:26+00:00

We believe in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments in their original writing as fully inspired of God; and accept them as the supreme, final, and absolute authority for faith and life.

The Church2026-07-06T11:38:37+00:00

We believe that the one true Church is the whole company of those who have by faith been redeemed, both past and present, by Jesus Christ, and regenerated by the Holy Spirit; that the new birth and personal confession of Christ as Lord are therefore essentials for legitimate Church membership; and that the Church on Earth is the organism through which God says and does what He desires for His world.

The Holy Sacraments (Communion & Baptism)2026-07-06T11:40:25+00:00

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ appointed two holy sacraments: Believer’s Baptism by immersion in water; and the Lord’s Supper (the partaking of communion). These are to be observed as acts of obedience and as perpetual witnesses to the fundamental facts of the Christian faith.

Church Leadership

Our leadership team works in close consultation with City on a Hill Gauteng and Four12 Leadership.

Jean-Michel and Nicole Masson

Jean-Michel and Nicole Masson are the founders of Christian Family Living Church in eMalahleni, Mpumalanga. Married with four children, they are passionate about building strong families within the local church. After leading a successful music school for 12 years and serving faithfully in ministry, they planted Christian Family Living Church in 2025.

Our Four12 Partnership

In our modern age of church denominations and networks, we have to keep going back to the original pattern of relationships between churches, which essentially consisted of local churches working together in partnership with apostolic leaders to build healthy churches and plant new ones.

There’s leeway to work within the framework we see in scripture, but it’s non-negotiable that we actually partner together – at least in spirit, even if we’re far from one another geographically. We are part of an apostolic partnership of churches called Four12. The name is derived from Ephesians 4:12, in which Paul states that the reason gifts are given to people is “to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up.” The aim is genuine relationships between churches that God has brought together, and a connection through the Spirit rather than simply under a common banner.
